New UMS Template Version 1.0.20 for IGEL Universal Management Suite 4.02.100 available

Hello Folks,

a new UMS Template is available and contains the following changes:

– Support for IGEL Universal Desktop ES (W7) Firmware 3.02.500
– Support for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (ARM) Firmware 4.01.500 (Beta)
– Support for IGEL Universal Desktop ES Firmware 3.11.10x
– Removed Profile for old UD7 Multimonitor Support
– Added Profiles for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (x86) to configure the IGEL Universal Multi Display Solution (UMD)
– Added Profiles for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (x86) to configure the Top Menu Bar for the VMWare Appliance Mode and
VMWare View sessions (global setting)
– Added Profiles for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (x86) to configure screen rotation (pivot)
– Changed Profile for IGEL Universal Desktop ES to start the fabulatech USB redirection service (default in IGEL firmware changed)
– Added Profile for IGEL Universal Desktop ES to enable the RedHat Spice USB redirection service
– Added Profile for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (ARM) to disable the Accerleration Chooser
– Prepared Profile’s for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (ARM) to configure the Sytem on a Chip (DSP)
for Citrix ICA and Microsoft RemoteFX. Note: Not supported in BETA Firmware!
– Added Profile for IGEL Universal Desktop ES to configure USB device handling for the VMWare View appliance mode
– Added Profile for IGEL Universal Desktop ES to setup the default printer (Printer Driver needs to be installed!)
– Added Profile for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (ARM) to configure multi monitor support, see comment
– Added Profile for IGEL Universal Desktop LX (x86) to configure the UD5 Display Port hot plug detection
– Seperated Linux Firmware’s for x86 and ARM architecture regarding the new ARM based UD2 Multimedia
including a new default directory rule for ARM based LX thin clients
– Added UMS Administration rights for the internal Administrator group
– Added Administrative Task to delete UMS logging data weekly
– Removed old firmware Versions
– Profiles Total 392

Whitepaper: Current IGEL Hardware

This  Whitepaper describes the current IGEL devices including the hardware names (like M310C), the technology, is the device still available, end of life dates, warranty times and available firmware Versions. So if someone call’s you and only know’s he got a IGEL D200 you know what device it is and how long the support/warranty time will apply to the device.

It includes also the new IGEL UD2 Multimedia which is based on the ARM Technology.
