{"id":1998,"date":"2016-06-09T15:05:44","date_gmt":"2016-06-09T14:05:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cloud-client.info\/?p=1998"},"modified":"2016-06-09T15:05:44","modified_gmt":"2016-06-09T14:05:44","slug":"nutanix-akropolis-ahv-support-for-xendesktopxenapp-7-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cloud-client.info\/?p=1998","title":{"rendered":"Nutanix Akropolis (AHV) support for XenDesktop\/XenApp 7.9"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"f1b57b4156f3c43e8a7d72dffc4b2e52\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-5449811010861855\";\r\n\/* blog.cloud-client.info 2 *\/\r\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"6689524735\";\r\ngoogle_ad_width = 468;\r\ngoogle_ad_height = 60;\r\n\/\/-->\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\r\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hello Folks,<\/p>\n<p>as you may already note, <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.citrix.com\/en-us\/xenapp-and-xendesktop\/7-9\/install-configure\/install-prepare\/nutanix.html\">XenDesktop\/XenApp 7.9<\/a> was released and it&#8217;s now comes with support for the Akropolis support from Nutanix.<\/p>\n<p>To get your Nutanix installation working it&#8217;s important to know that you have to install the &#8220;NutanixAcropolis-MCS-XD7.9_or_later.msi&#8221; provided by Nutanix (<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.nutanix.com\/#\/page\/static\/supportTools\">Nutanix Portal<\/a>-&gt;Tools) on all of your XenDesktop\/XenApp 7.9 delivery controllers.<\/p>\n<p>The Software was released today, the old Version does not work with the MCS and your Akropolis Hypervisor must be Version 4.6.1.x or higher!<\/p>\n<p>The installation is quite simple and the manual provided by Nutanix works well, one important thing (i run into this issue)&#8230; It&#8217;s not enough to create a Master VM! You must take a snapshot and the snapshot name MUST start with &#8220;XD_&#8221; so like XD_TS_Master_2012R2_Snapshot.
