{"id":1115,"date":"2014-04-12T13:03:57","date_gmt":"2014-04-12T12:03:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cloud-client.info\/?p=1115"},"modified":"2014-04-17T08:48:38","modified_gmt":"2014-04-17T07:48:38","slug":"tip-where-are-my-windows-store-apps-and-data-located-on-my-local-harddisk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cloud-client.info\/?p=1115","title":{"rendered":"Tip: Where are my Windows Store Apps and Data located on my local Harddisk"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"f1b57b4156f3c43e8a7d72dffc4b2e52\" data-index=\"1\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\ngoogle_ad_client = \"ca-pub-5449811010861855\";\r\n\/* blog.cloud-client.info 2 *\/\r\ngoogle_ad_slot = \"6689524735\";\r\ngoogle_ad_width = 468;\r\ngoogle_ad_height = 60;\r\n\/\/-->\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\r\nsrc=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hello Folks,<\/p>\n<p>a few times i&#8217;ve been asked where the Windows Store Apps located incl. the data for Apps (Savegames, configuration files and so on).<\/p>\n<p>So here are the locations for these files:<\/p>\n<p>Binary Application Data: C:\\Program Files\\WindowsApps<br \/>\nConfiguration Data:\u00a0C:\\Users\\*User Name*\\AppData\\Local\\Packages<\/p>\n<p>Check the subfolder names in these directories, it should be easy to identify the App folder that you are looking for.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to backup your configuration data or maybe save games just backup the configuration data folder, you can also copy this folder to an other device, i never got an issue by doing this and I&#8217;ve done this a few times for Apps which don&#8217;t offer a &#8220;Sync&#8221; option thru Microsoft One Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Please note: These folders are hidden and you need Administrator permissions to modify these folders.
